About Us
Care That Feels Like Family
Rainier Care Homes was built around a simple belief: people deserve to receive support without losing the comfort, dignity, and sense of belonging that make a place feel like home.
Our Story
Built From Personal Experience With Care
Rainier Care Homes grew from firsthand experience caring for loved ones and understanding how important dependable, compassionate support can be to an entire family. That experience inspired a vision for a smaller residential care setting where people can receive the support they need without losing the comfort, dignity and familiarity of home.
Our founder brings experience in family caregiving, operations leadership and business management, along with an MBA and Adult Family Home Administrator training, to the development of Rainier Care Homes.
Located in Puyallup, Washington, our home is designed to feel like exactly that — a home. Not a facility. Not an institution. A warm, comfortable residential setting where each person is known, respected, and genuinely cared for.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Dignity
Every resident deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and consideration — as a whole person, not a care recipient.
Individualized Care
Care should reflect the individual, including personal preferences, routines, abilities, and goals. We take the time to understand each person.
Comfort
We strive to create a peaceful residential environment that feels warm, familiar, and welcoming — a place residents can truly call home.
Connection
Meaningful relationships, conversation, activities, family involvement, and community connection are important parts of quality of life.
Meet Our Founder & Administrator
A Personal Approach to Care
Meet Racquel Jordan
Racquel brings a background in leadership, operations and caregiving to Rainier Care Homes, along with a Master of Business Administration from Pacific Lutheran University and Washington State Adult Family Home Administrator training.
Her vision for Rainier Care Homes grew from personal caregiving experience and a belief that receiving additional support should never mean giving up dignity, independence, comfort or a sense of home.
That experience shaped the kind of home Racquel wanted to create: one where residents are known as individuals rather than simply cared for according to a schedule. She believes the small details matter, from learning a resident's routines and preferences to understanding what makes them feel comfortable, respected and connected.
Racquel also understands that choosing residential care can be an emotional and sometimes overwhelming decision for families. Her goal is to create an environment where families feel comfortable asking questions, participating in care planning and remaining an important part of their loved one's life.
Through Rainier Care Homes, Racquel is committed to combining thoughtful leadership with compassionate, individualized care in a warm residential setting that truly feels like home.
Our Care Philosophy
The Heart Behind Rainier Care Homes
Care should be personal.
At Rainier Care Homes, we believe quality care begins with knowing the person behind the care plan. Every resident brings a lifetime of experiences, routines, relationships, preferences and stories with them.
Our goal is to preserve as much independence and familiarity as possible while providing the support each resident needs to feel comfortable and secure.
We want residents to feel that this is their home, families to feel welcome and involved, and care to be delivered with patience, consistency and genuine respect.
Dignity
Every person deserves to be treated with respect.
Independence
Residents should be encouraged to remain involved in their own choices and daily lives.
Individuality
Care should reflect the person, not simply the diagnosis or care need.
Connection
Relationships with residents, families and the community are an important part of meaningful care.
